Reportedly, the fantastic seaside city created in "Kiki's Delivery Service", the Japanese animation by master Miyazaki Hayao, was inspired by several European cities and one of which was Dubrovnik Old City of Croatia.....

Vrsar is a seaside town on the Istria peninsula of Croatia and is very close to the famous Rovinj. Seen from the sea, the sceneries of Vrsar and Rovinj are somewhat similar, both with bell towers on hills and together with unique cottages built along hillsides......

Located on a 300-meter hill on the east bank of Istria, Labin is absolutely a beautiful mountain city, whose old town remains as a Venetian town of hundreds of years ago, featured by colorful cottages and pure white stone steps......

There is no better way to get cooled than jumping into the sea. The water around Zlatni rat is so clear that it is transparent. Different shades of blue and green blend into layers of lustrous ribbons farther away from the shore. I simply could not take my eyes off the magical glitter of the azure sea......
